Horsham residents protest at lack of safe cycle lanes on Parsonage Road

This Friday (11th Dec) Horsham residents gathered opposite the new development on Parsonage Road to show their frustration at the lack of safe cycle lanes.

1.5m cycle lanes were promised by the developer to mitigate the impact of 160 new homes being built on the old Novartis site. These have not been delivered.

Instead, narrow 70cm lanes have simply been repainted on the road. These lanes do not meet the recommended minimum width of 1.5m and are dangerous for cyclists.

North Horsham Parish Councillors Frances Haigh and Helen Ralston were there in support. A journalist from the West Sussex County Times also attended. You can read the online article here.
